WOVEN LOOPS
Woven Loops is a textile piece that combines the essence of knitting and weaving, transforming soft, flowing, big stitches into the structured precision of Jacquard fabric. Inspired by the rhythmic loops of knit patterns, this design reinterprets their scaled structure within the woven medium.
This project was a study of textile composition, exploring the possibilities of Jacquard weaving through the ArahWeave program. By translating the visual qualities of knit into weave, "Woven Loops" challenges the boundaries between two distinct textile techniques, creating a fabric that feels both familiar and reimagined, interesting in its scale.
