ENLIGHTENING THE SHADOW
In this project, I worked with leftover materials from the plissé company Blinds Žalec, repurposing their cut-aways into new compositions. By sewing the pieces back together, I embraced their irregularities while exploring their original function—creating shadows/designing the light. Through unique arrangements of color, form, and varying lengths, I explored the idea of enlightening the shadow.
The result is a large textile piece, 1.5 meters wide, mounted on a wooden lath at the top. Adjustable cords allow the composition and length to be altered. In addition to this installation, I have also created smaller pieces designed to decorate windows and interior.
