SPICE BAZAAR
Spice Bazaar is a textile collection inspired by the vibrant hues, rich textures, and intoxicating scents of spice markets. Walking through the souks, one is immersed in a world of deep saffron, fiery paprika, and shimmering indigo—colours woven into fabrics that tell stories of tradition and travel.
This university project explores the connection between colour and material through handwoven pieces created on pin looms. By experimenting with various woollen yarn qualities and weaving patterns, the collection captures the depth and warmth of spice-laden stalls, where every thread reflects the richness of the experience when walking through the Spice Bazaar.
