TENSION IN THE AIR
Tension in the Air is a textile sculpture that investigates how color, textile, and light shape emotional perception. The work reflects on sensations of unease and anxiety, inspired by the artist’s observations of underground railway systems across Europe. In these environments, the combination of colored tiles, artificial lighting, and the restless pace of commuters creates a charged and almost theatrical atmosphere. Translating this experience into material form, it captures the moment of tension through a distinctive approach to textile research and making.
